There are a couple things you must know before you make money with social media.
Social Media is a long game plan.
Everyone who starts to use social media immediately has the idea they are going to be famous, make a million dollars in sales, or be a leader in the industry after using it for a couple weeks.
I am here to tell you that is almost never the case. It’s a long game that you’re playing with social media and once you become one of the above, the money will roll in consistently for years to come.
If you do decide to use social media to help grow your business you need to decide what your goal is.
There can be several goals as a company or individual you might have.
Is it to make money? Build credibility?
Sell goods or services? Show how good of a company you are?
Build a Personal Brand? Help build your company brand?
Determine What Your Goals Are
You then need to figure out your goals for your social media and that is pretty simple.
Do you want to gain followers?
Communicate with your following?
Is it to gain followers?
Do you want communication from your target audience?
It could even be to talk to leaders in your industry to connect and exchange ideas.
Time to get some strategy.
There could be a lot on how to achieve your goals for social media.
The easiest way is to come up with a strategy on how you’re going to strategize to meet your goal. The secret sauce no matter the goal is rather simple however.
It’s creating GOOD content. What kind of content? That is to be determined by you.
What would your target audience want to see? If you’re stuck ask the people you’re trying to target, what they would like to see, and cater to them. The ultimate goal is to hit your target audience and be consistent with it.
Growth in social media is inevitable but people are more likely to follow and stick around if they not only see your consistent in what you do but know what to expect when it comes to your content.

You’re Probably Itching To Hear How You Can Make Money
People buy from people they like.
More goods and services are on sale online every day and the percentage coming from social media is climbing at a steady pace.
So how do you get in on the money? You have to begin with implementing your strategy and then the sales will roll in after. If you sell a good or service people will buy over time and after they see it enough.
Having a catch biography with what you do is another way to help make money. If your goal is to educate your following you would be surprised how many people, not only want to learn more about what you do but also may reach out to start a conversation.
Also if your content is really good people can send it to others without you even knowing and that person may reach out to you. If you don’t ask how they found you, you may never know it was from social media.
Regularly in my normal day-to-day routine, I get people who tell me they either know who I am or have heard of me because one of my goals is to create good content.
Sometimes I even struggle and not sure if my followers are going to like my content or what I have put out. I couldn’t even tell you how many videos or photos I have on my phone that I never posted. Why? My target customer does not care about it.
You Must Determine:
Whether your social is for making money?
Is social going to be used for fun?
If your social is for you to make money, then time to get serious and don’t sell on social media.
I know that sounds weird, but people hate to feel like they are always being sold.
If you have a sale once in a while don’t hesitate to show the world it’s going on but if every week you have a deal no offense but people don’t care.
How Much Is Enough?
People ask “how much content should I put out because I have no idea?”
The simple answer is as much as you can. As long as it’s relevant and useful content then feel free to post. If your just posting to post I will be the first one to tell you, not only are you not going to help your followers you’re going to make them shy away from you and what you’re trying to accomplish.
If you can create outstanding content that engages with an audience and they love to see it, keep making it. It’s only going to help you get more exposure and turn followers to customers.
